A two-year college-level degree designed to provide students with an introduction to business combined with the basic quantitative and communications skills needed in today's business world.

 

The primary objective of this major is to provide a managerially oriented program with sufficient communicative and mathematical skills, socially relevant course work, and options composed of advanced courses in specific business specialties to develop a well-rounded and technically knowledgeable graduate. The option available at Penn State Greater Allegheny is General Business.

Graduates of this program may also qualify for admission to baccalaureate degree programs in Business or related fields at all Penn State campuses.  Students who plan to continue into the Bachelor of Science Business Degree at Penn State Greater Allegheny should meet with their advisers regarding entrance to major and other related requirements.

For the Associate in Science degree in Business Administration, a minimum of 60 credits is required.
