Communications student at the Student Research Conference

Communications students are enthusiastic about their discipline.

Constant change, the globalization of business, and the 24/7 news cycle create new challenges and opportunities. As never before, organizations require educated, skilled, and ethical professionals.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications addresses employer concerns by branching outside the traditional communications curriculum and drawing from appropriate courses in the disciplines of Information Sciences & Technology, Communication Arts and Sciences, English, and Business.

The option offered at Penn State Greater Allegheny focuses on corporate communications. In extending traditional organizational communication and public relations to the digital age, this option better prepares public relations specialists to compete in a global society.
