Penn State Greater Allegheny Scholarships
Penn State Greater Allegheny offers both merit and need-based scholarships to attract and recognize students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership abilities, and commitment to service. More than 45 scholarship funds have been established by generous alumni and friends of the campus.to encourage students to begin their higher education at Penn State Greater Allegheny. 

Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to full tuition are awarded, usually for one academic year. Many are renewable if the recipient continues to meet eligibility requirements. Scholarship recipients often participate in the Penn State Greater Allegheny Honors Program as well as in leadership and service activities. Honors students have the opportunity to earn an Honors Certificate with transcript citations, use special library privileges, enjoy dynamic cultural events, and apply to The Schreyer Honors College.

Application procedures: All freshmen offered admission to Penn State Greater Allegheny will automatically be considered for scholarships. For priority consideration, students are encouraged to submit an application for admission by November 30. Individual scholarship applications are required for the Penn State Greater Allegheny Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship, The Thomas Mansfield Memorial Scholarship, and The Schreyer Honors College. In addition, individuals who have relatives who worked for the G.C. Murphy Company, or relatives who were involved with the Junior Order of American Mechanics, or who are active community volunteers should notify the coordinators of Financial Aid so they may be considered for special opportunities.

Students who submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are automatically considered for need-based scholarships. The FAFSA is available through high school guidance offices or the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at Penn State Greater Allegheny; submission prior to February 15 is encouraged.
