First-Year Students: Apply to Penn State Step 3

The Undergraduate Admissions Office strives to evaluate undergraduate applications as quickly as possible.  You can check that status of your application by logging into your MyPennState account.

Penn State has rolling admissions, which means there is no deadline for applying. However we do have a recommended filing date for first-year fall semester admission as well as first-year spring semester addmisssion.

First-Year Fall Semester Admission
Applications with all credentials (including the application fee, high school transcript and SAT I or ACT scores) are evaluated after they are complete. We recommend that applications for first-year admission be submitted by November 30.

First-Year Spring Semester Admission
Complete applications with all credentials (including high school transcript and SAT I or ACT scores) for spring semester admission should be received by November 1.

When will I Receive a Decision?
First-Year Fall Semester Admission
Within 4 to 6 weeks after your complete application has been received.
First-Year Spring Semester Admission
Within 4 to 6 weeks after your complete application has been received.
