Grants

Leon A. Arkus Memorial Award for creative piece, “Nebulous Spasm,” an installation piece consisting of 12 separately framed archival pigment prints and is 100” x 90” in size. Awarded by the Associated Artists of Pittsbrugh’s 97th Annual Exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Included a cash award of $500. The piece is part of Ms. Hepner’s Code Words series of creative works.
Received a $1,000 award from the Three Rivers Arts Festival to create a new art installation for the 2008 Three Rivers Arts Festival.
Awarded Heinz Fellowship, Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Amherst, VA 5/10 – 5/19/2008 and $1250 from the Heinz Endowments to cover a 10 day residency . Allowed creation of an artwork commissioned by the Three Rivers Arts Festival.
Silver Eye Center for Photography, Fellowship, 2008: “A Map of Latin American Dreams.”
Awarded an internal PSU Research Development grant ($2769) for equipment and supplies for her Code Words Project.
