- The front page of the Penn State Greater Allegheny web site;
- Penn State Greater Allegheny social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram)
Cancellation of day classes does not automatically mean cancellation of evening classes or vice versa.
Common Questions and Answers
Q. If the campus is open, am I required to come to class?
A. Your safety is the first priority. If you feel the roads are too hazardous to travel to campus, please contact your professor.
Q. Are decisions to cancel or delay day and evening classes made separately?
A. Yes, they are. Every attempt is made to make campus closure/delay decisions before 7:00 am for day schedules and before 4:00 pm for evening schedules. In the event weather situations change after 7:00 am or 4:00 pm, campus leadership will make decisions as necessary and communicate those decisions through the appropriate channels which include PSU Text, the Penn State Greater Allegheny website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. It is possible to have any portion of the schedule canceled and that information will be communicated.
Q. If my class is canceled, will it be made up?
A. Some instructors may attempt to set a makeup session when students are available. The form of make-up will depend on the nature of the class. In the event of a cancelation, students are encouraged to check CANVAS for notifications from their instructors.
